  • Here are a couple of practice exams for the Final. I will post solutions to them some time next week.
    • Practice Final 1
    • Practice Final 2
  • The Final will cover all the material covered in the course thus far. That includes: Induction, prime factorization,  modular arithmetic, Fermat's Theorem, Euler's theorem, Wilson's theorem, RSA encryption, Euclidean algorithm and its applications,  irrational numbers, algebraic numbers,  rational numbers and periodicity of decimal expressions,  complex numbers, Cardinality Theory, Shroeder-Berenstein Theorem, Constructable numbers, impossibility of trisecting an angle, doubling a cube and squaring a circle.
  • Rules for the test: No aids allowed. No calculators!  This means that you may need to memorize some formulas such as the formula for cos(3θ) and for sin and cos of basic angles.
  • When writing the test, unlesss specifically instructed otherwise, you can quote without a proof results proved in class. You may not quote results from homework without a proof.
