Math 223: Topics in Set Theory

This is a brief course page for a topics course that I taught in the Winter quarter 2015.

A brief course description: The main focus of the class is techniques in Prikry forcing. The course is designed with a view to consistency results related to the continuum function on singular cardinals. Particular attention is paid to aleph_omega, but the techniques are relevant to other cardinals. Sometime at the end of the course is reserved for some more recent results concerning the singular cardinals hypothesis and weak square.

The course notes can be found here. A big thanks to Thomas Gilton for typing them live and to John Lensmire for editing the result.
