APM 346, Partial Differential Equations, Summer 2019

Class times and room: Tuesday 4-5, Thursday 3-5, Bahen 1190
Office hours: Tuesday 1-2, Thursday 2-3, Bahen 2139. (Exception: on Thursday, May 30, office hours will be 2-3 in Bahen 2175.) Office hours start on Tuesday, May 7, and will be held in any week when class is in session, including during the June exam period (up to the day of the term test).

Tutorials (from the timetable, current as of 2019 May 2): Tuesday 2-3, Bahen 2175; Tuesday 3-4, Wallberg 219. Tutorials will start the second week of class.
TA office hours (MAC hours): Monday 4-6, Friday 11-1, in PG 101.
Textbook: Pinsky, Mark A. Partial Differential Equations and Boundary-Value Problems with Applications, 3rd Ed. Providence, Rhode Island: American Mathematical Society, 2011. (This book is on order at the bookstore.)

Syllabus.

Schedule. This is still in process. Roughly I intend to cover chapters 0-2 and either 4 or 5 of the textbook in the first half (through June), then chapters 3, the one of 4 and 5 not covered, 6, and 8 in the second half. We will skip chapter 7.
