Course Description
We will examine the group SL(2,Z) from the point of view of Geometry, Group Theory, Dymanics and Numebr Theory. Below are some references for the topics covered in class. More references will be added here as the semester goes on.

- For the algebra of SL(2,Z) you can look at [Notes] by Keith Conrad.
- For Basics of Hyperbolic Geometry you can look at [Notes] by Caroline Series.
- Ergodic Theory
- Ergodic Theory with a view towards Number Theory, by Manfred Einsiedler and Thomas Ward.
