Summer 2025 TA Positions
Hiring for the Summer 2025 term will follow this schedule:
- March 7: Jobs are posted, application opens.
- April 7: Application deadline. Applications after the deadline will not be considered.
- Late April: Most job offers are sent out. Please note that not all job offers are sent at the same time as we continuously fill positions. We will send an announcement to all applicants that "most positions have been filled". Please do NOT email us to inquire about your individual application status. We will not reply to such messages.
- June and July: Based on demand (e.g. increased enrolment or candidates turning down their offers) additional offers might be made.
Please note that our TA positions in the summer are very limited. While we encourage anyone interested to apply, graduate students in the Department of Mathematics receive priority according to our hiring policy.

FAQ
You can also find a more general FAQ on the main page: click here.
Will courses in the Summer 2025 term be online?
We are offering both online and in-person courses. During the application, you can list your preference for one or the other.
If I am offered a position for an online course, does that mean my entire job will be remote?
No. At the very least, the final exams of ALL of our courses are held in person and you will need to be on campus to support them. Furthermore note that it is a general requirement for all our positions that you are in geographic proximity to U of T campus. A situation might arise that will require your attendance on campus with reasonable notice.
I applied for a TA job, what is the status of my application?
Due to the large number of applications, we can't provide individual updates on application status. Please do not email us to check. However, we will send out a "most positions have been filled" announcement in mid-May.
I heard that a friend of mine already received a job offer. I didn't receive an offer. Does that mean I am out of the running for a position?
Not all job offers are sent at the same time. We continue to fill positions until we send out a message to all applicants that "Most positions have been filled". Only if you received this announcement and you didn't receive an offer by that point does it mean that you will likely not get a position.
