FAQ

You can also find a more general FAQ on the main page: click here.

Will courses in the Summer 2024 term be online?

We are offering both online and in-person courses. During the application, you can list your preference for one or the other.

If I am offered a position for an online course, does that mean my entire job will be remote?

No. At the very least, the final exams of ALL of our courses are held in person and you will need to be on campus to support them. Furthermore note that it is a general requirement for all our positions that you are in geographic proximity to U of T campus. A situation might arise that will require your attendance on campus with reasonable notice.

I applied for a TA job, what is the status of my application?

Due to the large number of applications, we can't provide individual updates on application status. Please do not email us to check. However, we will send out a "most positions have been filled" announcement in mid-May.

I heard that a friend of mine already received a job offer. I didn't receive an offer. Does that mean I am out of the running for a position?

Not all job offers are sent at the same time. We continue to fill positions until we send out a message to all applicants that "Most positions have been filled". Only if you received this announcement and you didn't receive an offer by that point does it mean that you will likely not get a position.
