SOAR Winter 2002
End of Course Survey

This is a survey intended to help us (the University of Toronto Math Department) improve future SOAR courses. Please help us by filling this out as candidly as possible. You can return it (anonymously) in (or after) class or by email to Peter.

  1. Did you enjoy this class? Would you recommend this class (or a similar one) to your friends? Why or why not?

  2. Did you feel the material covered in the class was at an appropriate level, too high a level, or too low a level? Can you give specific examples?

  3. Of all the topics we covered this semester, which topics did you enjoy most and which did you enjoy least? What would you like to see more of?

  4. Do you think this class has affected your (future) choice of University? In particular, are you more likely to attend the University of Toronto?

  5. Do you think this class has affected your (future) choice of field of study at University? In particular, are you more likely to study mathematics?

  6. How did you hear about this class? (Please be as specific as possible.)

  7. If we want to advertise future courses, what do suggest we do differently? How can we reach students in grades 9 through 11?

  8. How did you find the schedule (three hours every Tuesday evening)? Did the course last too long or end too soon? Would a shorter, intensive course (say, over the summer) have been better, or did you prefer the semester-long course?

  9. Do you have any ideas for interesting topics?

  10. Do you have any other comments?
