Capillary oddities

We report striking new structures revealed through exploratory experimental investigations of free surface flows, and outline accompanying theoretical developments. Particular attention is given to the polygonal fluid sheets generated with a water bell source geometry, to the fluid chains and fishbones generated by the collision of two laminar jets, and to polygonal hydraulic jumps.
