Just for fun

Some Hanukkah riddles -- Questions by Assaf:
A burning candle
  1. What exactly burns here, and where? If it isn't the wick that's burning, what's the wick for?
  2. Why is the top of the flame yellow and the bottom blue?
  3. Why is there a darker area of the flame right around the wick?
  4. Why is only the top of the wick burning orange?
  5. Why do narrower candles drip wax? (Why don't thick candles drip wax?)

Enjoy the holidays! Make a lot of paper airplanes! Eat a lot of ice cream!
