Course Coverage

We plan to cover Chapter 1, sections 2.1-2.7 of Chapter 2, sections 3.1-3.6 of Chapter 3, Chapter 4, sections 5.1-5.3 of Chapter 5, Chapter 7 and several first sections of Chapter 9.

Tests and Marking Scheme

There will be

• 6 quizzes (total 30%) Only the five best marks for quizzes (out of six) will be counted towards the total mark
• one midterm exam (30%)
• the final exam (40%)

Each quizz will contain one or two problems from homework assignments. All quizzes will be written in the class.
