The course letter grade will be calculated as follows

Homework assignments will be posted every Friday after the lecture. It will be due the following Friday at the lecture.
You can submit your homework assignments electronically. Electronic submissions should be made on time - no later than Friday that the homework is due. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Regular homework should be emailed to to Ian at ian.zwiers@utoronto.ca with the subject
MAT 257 homework.
Extra credit homework assignments should be submitted to me at vtk@math.toronto.edu with the subject MAT257 Extra Credit Homework.

NO late homework will be accepted.
Extra credit can be earned by submitting solutions to extra credit homework problems and by spotting mistakes during lectures.
Important: There will be no make up midterms! If you have a valid reason to miss the term test, the corresponding portion of the Final exam will count as your term test grade.
