Before heading out, I decided to watch "Marge and the Monorail". I need to clean my desk.
After having his wheels rotated, Ruben was ready to go rollerblading. Today (June 26, 2004) we head out to the lakeshore and bike west towards the Humber Pedestrian Bridge.
Outside the Bahen Centre at St. George St.
Waiting for the light at St. George/Beverly and College Sts.
Beverly and Cecil Sts. I'm taking this (and many other pictures) while biking. A little too dangerous, perhaps?
Queen's Quay and Spadina. This is where the trails begin for us.
He actually said that when he retires, he'll fly _north_ and live in one of these condos. The Toronto Music Garden is also in the background.
Joel and Toronto Island in the background. Treasure it; it's the only picture of me in this set.
Remembrance Dr. On the way to Ontario Place.
Entrance to Ontario Place. Still taking pictures in traffic....
Between Ontario Place and the Exhibition grounds. (Notice the power generating windmill!)
Past Ontario Place along Aquatic Dr.
I should either hold the camera properly, or rotate this picture by 8 degrees.
Ooh, it's the Lakeshore/Gardiner combination! And Ruben is trying to catch those babes on bikes.
Approaching the Sunnyside Pavillion.
Sir Gzowski Park, with Lake Ontario (still) in the background.
The goal is in sight!
A rare shot of Ruben's front while rollerblading. It's easier to cycle behind him, ya know.
That final uphill section makes you feel you've accomplished something when you've...
... finally reached the bridge.
Ah yes, touristy shots of Toronto.
Looking west instead of east, one notices there weren't that many condos in the area a few years ago.
The required picture on the bridge before heading back.
Lakeshore near Jameson Ave.
Ignore the shadow of the photographer.
Windmill on the left, Ontario Place to the right.
The nice thing about the windmill is that it tells you which way the wind is blowing (since it always faces the direction the wind is coming from).
Look what the wide-angle does to the flagpole!
At the end of the trail which leads to Queen's Quay.
At this point, Ruben asks, "Shouldn't you stop taking pictures and biking at the same time?"
Queen's Quay west of Bathurst St.
And finally back at the Toronto Music Garden and the end of the nice trails. Time to hit the streets and then the showers!
