Reference Books:

• P. Cameron, Combinatorics: Topics, Techniques, Algorithms, Cambridge University Press
• M. Erickson, Introduction to Combinatorics, John Wiley & Sons 1996.

Topics: The main topic is enumeration. We will cover the preliminary chapter and Part II of Erickson's book, and also a few chapters of Cameron's book. In detail, we'll talk about binomial coefficient, generating functions, twelvefold ways(16 cases) partition function and others if time allowed. The theme is about counting.

Grading: Your grade will be determined by the following weights:

• Homework 50%,
• Class participation 50%
