After September 24, students who are struggling in MAT 137Y, MAT 157Y, MAT 237Y, or MAT 257Y may wish to consider dropping down to a lower-level calculus course.
Deadlines are as follows:
| Course | Last day to drop down |
| From MAT 157Y to MAT 137Y | October 13, 2006 |
| From MAT 157Y to MAT 133Y or MAT 135Y | October 13, 2006 |
| From MAT 137Y to MAT 133Y or MAT 135Y | October 13, 2006 |
| From MAT 257Y to MAT 237Y or MAT 235Y | October 13, 2006 |
| From MAT 237Y to MAT 235Y | October 13, 2006 |
To drop down from a higher 100-level or 200-level course to a lower level one, you must contact your college registrar; drop downs can not be done on ROSI. Do not go to the Department of Mathematics to drop down a course. A goldenrod form is not necessary; drop downs can be performed by the college registrar without the permission of the Department of Mathematics.
Students dropping down may register in any lecture section of their choice provided space is available and the section is not closed to enrollment.
While your college registrar will enrol you in a lecture section, they will not be able to register you in a tutorial section. Students dropping down to a course are responsible for contacting the course coordinators to make arrangements for tutorials.
| Course | Coordinator | Contact Information |
| MAT 133Y | Abe Igelfeld | See the course web site and information sheet |
| MAT 135Y | Anthony Lam | See the course web site |
| MAT 137Y | Joel Chan | See the course web site |
Students should be prepared to write the first term test of the course they are entering; there will be no special considerations made with no exceptions.
Drop downs only apply to first- and second-year calculus courses.
