Quantum mechanics and generalized theta functions

Abstract:

I will describe how to extend A. Weil's approach to the theory of theta functions to non-Abelian theta functions that arise in Chern-Simons theory. Most of the talk will be an exposition of the case when the gauge group is S^1, but in a manner that admits generalizations to SU(2). This is joint work with Razvan Gelca.
