Abstract:We will discuss the relative Seidel homomorphism defined for paths in the Hamiltonian group, whose ends preserve a given Lagrangian submanifold. The resulting Seidel element is related with the Seidel element for loops via Albers' map. We will also discuss some interesting applications. This is joint work with Francois Lalonde.
