Abstract:I will discuss Yang-Mills functionals and Yang-Mills connections over closed non-orientable surfaces, based on a joint work in progress with Nan-Kuo Ho. For comparison, I will also briefly review the case of closed orientable surfaces based on Atiyah and Bott's fundamental paper "The Yang-Mills equations over Riemann surfaces".
