Localization in equivariant cohomology
Abstract:
I will talk about the preprint math.SG/0404413. Philosophy:
To every nice stratification of a Hamiltonian K-manifold should be a
localization theorem. Although the norm-square of the moment map is not
Morse-Bott, there is a nice stratification associated to it by Kirwan and
Ness. I will describe a short proof of the localization theorem
associated to this stratification, suggested by Witten and originally
proved by Paradan.
