Day -2 - A 48 Hour Plan

"When it rains, it's better to be biking than to be sitting in a tent"

Hi, and welcome back to my bike blog.

I guess it's a countdown. In this blog post, I'll be updating my checklist, and outlining some thoughts about the next 48 hours. Today's quote is from Bob Jerrard, who said something smart, that I'm sure I'll need to heed sometime this trip.

A Checklist Updated

Two days ago I made a list of things I still needed to do. Below is a reproduced copy of the undone things, together with updates on it.

The Next 48 Hours

Unfortunately, I still have some grad-student commitments. I need to hold office hours on day -1 from 10 until 15, and I have a big final exam on day 0 which ends at 5. Assuming I study, which, by the mere existence of this blog post, is a tough assumption to sell, this gives me the entirety of day 0's evening to prepare.

On day -1, I need to buy new bike bags, and learn how to disassemble the bike so that it fits in the box. I might even box it and not have to deal with it later. During this bike maintenance session, I will also get new inner-tubes and fix the consistency problem. On day 0, I will pack, eat dinner with my family, and stay up all night in terror of day 1.
