GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT TEST #2

 

1.  DATE / TIME.

 

        Thursday, January 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Students with timetable conflicts will write the test on the same day from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

 

2.  LOCATIONS.

 

Section L-0101 (Prof. S. Cohen)

        All students write the test in room CG-150 (Canadiana Gallery)

 

Section L-0201 (Prof. S. Abou-Ward)

        All students write the test in room CG-250 (Canadiana Gallery)

 

Section L-5101 (Prof. F. Recio)

        All students write the test in room CG-150 (Canadiana Gallery)

 

Students with timetable conflicts

       The 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. test, only for students with timetable conflicts from any of the above sections, will be written in room MS-3163 (Medical Sciences Building).

 

3.  ABOUT THE TEST.

     

Topics to be covered:

        Stewart’s Textbook (Early Transcendentals Multivariable, 5th. edition) sections 14.4 to 15.4.

        Spivak’s Textbook (Calculus on Manifolds) chapters 2 and 3 (excluding the sections on “Partitions of unity” and “Change of variables”).

Value of the test:

        About 26.7 % of your term mark.

Aids allowed:

       • Calculators or any other aids are not allowed.

Duration:

        110 minutes.

Important:

        Use a pen to write your test paper. Answers written with pencil will not be considered for remarking. Keep your student card on top of your table while writing the test.

 

4.  MAT-237 TUTORS AND MATH AID CENTRES.

 

       MAT-237 tutors are available every Wednesday from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. and every Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in room NC-051C (New College Building, basement).

       There are several Math Aid Centres located at Victoria College , St. Michael’s College, Woodsworth College, University College, New College, Sidney Smith Building, etc. The hours of operation may be different for each of these Math Aid Centres.
