Tournament of Towns: Mission

Table of Contents: Introduction:

The International Mathematics Tournament of the Towns is a worldwide problem solving competition in mathematics organized in Russia. Any town can take part in it. The Tournament of the Towns is affiliated with the World Federation of National Mathematics Competition. The President of the Tournament is an ex-officio Vice-President of the WFNMC.

Each year, over 10000 students participate in the Tournament. Over 1000 of them would achieve an international standard are awarded Diplomas. Students write the contest in their own towns. Thus there are no travel expenses. The administrative cost of running the Tournament is nominal.
