Tournament of Towns in Toronto

The Tournament of the Towns system of grading, following the tradition of Mathematical Olympiads, is based on using the following symbols (marks).

+ for any correct solution.
+. for a mainly correct solution with small defects (trivial correction/corrections is needed ).
+- for a solution with an essential flaw, which could be easily eliminated (basically, problem is solved).
+/2 for a correct solution of one part the problem (if the problem splits naturally into two parts); for a correct idea, not developed enough to consider the problem solved completely.
-+ for a mainly incorrect solution; however, with an essential advancement/advancements.
-. for an incorrect solution with some reasonable arguments.
- for a wrong solution.
0 for a problem not attempted.
! is added to a mark + if the solution contains an original approach (short, but concise presentation, comprehensiveness, straightness of the result,..)
