We have our first midterm exam on Monday February 12. The exam will be held (5:30 - 7:00) in our usual classroom: DRL A1. Ian will lead a review session on Sunday (Feb 11) from 5:00 to 7:00 in DRL A8. You need to bring your ID card with you so you can swipe it to get access to that part of the building. Also, you'll have the regular Sunday Review from 7:00-9:00 pm in DRL A8. The exam will cover everything up to and including section 8.3. By this I mean: all the sections listed in the math 140 syllabus. and all the sections up to and including 8.3 in the math 141 syllabus. I know that a number of you had professors who didn't do cosh and sinh and the like because they didn't have time. Unfortunately, you are still held responsible for this material.

You may not bring calculators or palm pilots or other electronic devices to the exam. You can bring a one-page (8.5 by 11 inches) "help sheet" to the exam. It can have material on both sides. It doesn't have to be hand-written. The exam will be mostly multiple-choice and true-false problems (no partial credit possible) with an additional one or two problems (partial credit possible).
