Students contemplating a "medical note" for a test  should carefully read 
(on page 540 of the Calendar of the Faculty of Arts and Science) 
the paragraphs entitled "Medical Documentation" and "University of Toronto 
Medical Certificate", especially the latter. Medical notes in which 
the doctor says that the student said they were sick on the day of 
the test will NOT be accepted and will result in a mark of zero 
on the test, just as if no medical note were submitted.
