Abstract: In this talk we will show how to prove the uniqueness of SRB measures for transitive surface diffeomorphisms. By an SRB measure we mean a measure with positive entropy and satisfying Pesin's entropy formula. This is joint work with M.A. Rodriguez Hertz, A. Tahzibi and R. Ures.
