Kowalewski-Painleve analysis of the Cohomogeneity one Ricci-flat equations
Abstract: I will discuss the result of applying Kowalewski-Painleve analysis to the cohomogeneity one Ricci-flat equations for certain principal orbit types. It will be shown that certain dimensions are singled out by Diophantine conditions, and connections with conserved quantities, integrability, and exceptional holonomy will be made. The talk is based on joint work with Andrew Dancer.
