Unaccustomed as I am in agreeing with Hector Delvechhio about about a strategic issule, I have to agree with Herr Mongo-Lopez and go with 1L KORE.

Fishing for ZEE is obviously hopeless. First, opponent is likely to get there first. Second, even if opponent passes, we would still be behind after we took the spot. Thirdly, planning on playing off EE (or possibly ED) next turn means we are expecting to have unmatched 1 pointers for five or so consecutive turns. A great recipe for getting blown out.

The deficit is starting to be imposing. 20 points closer I'd be tempted to fish with DOR expecting that a follow UP later bingo would fully catch me if I hit. Here after a mid-thirty x or or ZEE play, I'd be down a hundred, and a 70 point bingo leaves me behind. KORE keeps us in touch with opponent, although there is still no guarantee that a bingo next turn will catch us up. It creates a residual bingo line on row 8, which may be very handy for us next turn, and seems approximately as likely to bingo next turn as any play which scores more than 5 points.
