deeeljoy asks for "other opinions" in light of the sims, and we've seen some. At the risk of overposting, I would suggest that UT, TUI and OUT have similar strategic considerations, and sim close enough to one another, and sufficiently better than everything else, that the important lesson in this position is to be concentrated on these moves.

A bingo may not be essential, but it is sure desirable, and the bingo equity of these plays are what make them stand out. What's the "best" play? An ex-world champion says TUI, and a multiple US champion says OUT. Myself, I'm wavering back towards UT. There is certainly room in this game for style. The final decision is much less important than the process.

The preponderance of strategic concepts in scrabble are quite simple, the trick is suppress the the one's that don't apply to a particular position, so that one has time to concentrate on the ones that do. Robert Felt San Francisco, California USA
