Chris,

Just saw once again the tape of GCX (1990) with you singing "Wild Fire." Mahvelous, simply mahvelous, my friend. Told winner Bri, and he concurred, how things seemed a bit...simpler then. Onto the complexities of today. You suggested:

Hadn't seen INTRANT until someone else posted it. Somebody tells me it's a "3%er or Type II bingo," whatever that is. ;) I agree that CATTIER (18 pts) and INTRANT (16 pts) are the top two picks, as points and turnover of each of these allow you to be in the do-NOT-have-to-bingo position. I do prefer the front-S hook availability of CATTIER, and turnover may net us the blank and/or S for the hot spots of h11 and/or d1 with SCATTIER. If opponent does have the S, and takes one spot, at least there is another. As another pointed out, ZEE (13b, 36) is available, another argument for the greater turnover of CATTIER or INTRANT, than of UT or OUT, the latter two of which then require the uncertain bingo.

Another point: If opp does not have ZEE and does not play an S off h11, it is more likely that after UT, the 8LB one is hoping for thru 5j will likely be taken out due to the warm spots of h1, 5k, and L4. And, of course, OUT restricts the utility of the AINRT leave.
